[C320-list] Bow nav light - no power

The bow nav light on Stargzer is without power.  Stern ilight s ok, power at switch is ok.  I'm suspecting a broken wire in the pulpit.  Has anyone had to rewire theirs?  There seems to be several coils of wire just forward of the anchor well (via small access panel) just before wiring enters the stanchion on the port side.  Any tricks to getting it out and repairing it?
