[C320-list] Thru Hull Lubrication-Forespar Recommendation in Owner's Manual

Those Forespar instructions are in my Catalina owner's manual for hull 894
(2002).
I am in Lake Michigan and lubricate the valves when hauled out every fall.
I do what Allen does-close the valves and stick a brush with Teflon grease
through the outside opening and coat thru hull ball valve. After that I go
inside and work the valve open and close a few times. Leave them open go
back outside and stick the brush with lubricant on it up through the valve
and swab the valve just above the ball. Note how far the brush goes in when
the valve is closed and add an inch or two. Then open and close the valves
a few times. You get a little of the lubricant on the inside walls which
works its way on to the ball without having to pull the hoses.
I am into my 9th season doing this and all of the thru hulls operate very
smoothly, even the macerator pump discharge thru hull. The pump is disabled
since there is no discharge allowed on the Great Lakes so the thru hull is
never used except when I lubricate it.
