BLEED FUEL LINE (YANMAR 3GM with RACOR 200 HOUSING)
1. Open fuel line shutoff valve located on top of fuel tank.
2. Low pressure side:
a. Bleed on top of Racor filter housing: Loosen the metal vent plug
(hexhead). Let gravity feed fuel to filter (catch with rag).
b. Loosen the vent plug (smaller of the two) on the engine mounted filter
housing. Unscrew the hand primer pump knob on the Racor housing and use it
to push fuel up to the secondary filter. Caution: the stroke on this pump
is very short (about 1.5" unless you have the modification). Pump slowly
until air is out and pure fuel is running (catch with rag).
c. Open the bleed screw on the fuel injector pump. Use the RACOR primer
pump or the engine mounted lift pump to slowly expel any air.
3. High pressure side (Bleed only if necessary)
a. Loosen the fuel line fitting nut on each injector just enough to
expel air. Throttle position to Full. Decompression lever ON. Crank engine
with starter until fuel is coming out all 3 injector openings (max 30
seconds). Tighten fitting nuts to 15 ft-lbs.
