The hull ID number is stamped on starboard transom and is also used
for your documentation certificate and state registration if
applicable. The "hull number is 1145 and that should be all your guy
needs to match gelcoat.

and on the title there is a much longer number with letters and ending in 08 the 
year of the boat. All my previous boats have had the number permanently stamped 
in the fiberglass somewhere on the stern.
