Warren - I buy all my marine wire and terminals from genuinedealz.com.  Absolutely the best prices and selection.  As it happens, they sell shielded instrument signal cable with 8 conductors (each a different color) in a 5/16" diameter cable.  Here is the part # GIM-ANC158005
for a 50 ft spool, priced at $38.59 including shipping.  Alan;  more than Half Way There; hull #67; under shrink wrap on the hard in Michigan.
