[C320-list] Ride Sharing

Hi Folks -

This may seem a bit self serving, and while admittedly it may be, it does seem to be a good concept to float (pun intended) among the C320 Association membership. Has the concept of 'ride sharing' been discussed before ... the concept being that if a member was traveling on vacation (or otherwise) to a location where another C320 Association member sailed, the visitor might be able to crew on the local's boat and as a result (i) get to sail somewhere different, (ii) experience a different boat setup, and (iii) increase the camaraderie among the membership by increasing the number of personal (as opposed to virtual) relationships among the membership. This might be accomplished by adding a topic to the members only section where interested individuals might post their details as to 'ride available' or 'ride wanted'. I would be willing to start up and maintain this topic on the Association's site. I would be happy to be the first 'ride available' post. My boat is in Lake Michigan, slipped at Eldean Shipyard in Holland, Michigan.
As I warned ... this post may seem self serving (Ben Franklin said 'necessity is the mother of invention'). My girlfriend and I are going to be in Key West for 4 nights February 15 through the 19th. Are there any members who might sail in that area and would be willing to take us for a day sail?
