Bruce, you should probably include the sailing area or the ave. depth and
type of ground encountered as these are important in anchor/rode
determination. We sail strictly on the Chesapeake Bay where ave. anchoring
depths are 6-12' and bottoms are soft mud to sand, little rock, or grass. I
rarely put out more than 90' with ave. more like 50-60'.

Check out the Rocna anchor. I've been hearing good stuff about these. I
think PS did a review a while ago.
