Bruce - I also have a 35 pound CQR.  I have 100 feet of chain plus 150 feet
of rope.  Given the shallow water we sail in on the Chesapeake Bay, I have
never had to use the rope.  I did have to upgrade the windlass to take the
chain and get a new bail from Garhauer so that the anchor knuckle would
clear the roller.  I have never dragged with this set-up but also plant it
with about 2500 rpm in reverse. - Allan
