I might add that Defender.com carries new style screen for the Lewmar #1
port light. It is a more sturdy screen in that it has two vertical plastic
bars attached on the frame the tips of which are meant to be inserted
between the outside frame ring and the rubber gasket. On the bottom of each
bar is a sliding catch to catch the bottom in the same way. They are meant
to be installed from inside; and, will not easily be removed from the
outside. Hopefully not by the errant toe or heal as I'm flying around the
cockpit. Unfortunately, they will not be immune from curious grandchildren
exploring the boat.

Price: $28 plus shipping.

5 x 12 inches also known as Lewmar #1 (Catalina Direct has gaskets, etc.)
