[C320-list] cutlass bearing replacement

Chris,

This doesn't sound right at all--sorry it's after the fact. I replaced mine
two seasons ago using the Association's tools and it took me and a friend
about 2 hours--most of which was for removing the prop. No need to remove
the shaft and definitely no need to drop the rudder--

Regards,

Subject: [C320-list] cutlass bearing replacement

I'm having a bottom job done on hull #500, 1998 model. The cutlass bearing
is being replaced at the same time. The yard is saying (after the fact)
that they've had to put six hours into pulling the shaft, they now have that
done, but they think that they might need to pull the rudder to get the
shaft out of the strut. Does this sound right?
