Got this job done in two hours last night with the help of a friend and will
be returning the tools today. That time included the beer drinking,
figuring out the equipment, numerous calls to and from Jeff Hare, and
catching a few fish. The tool loaner program is a great benefit of
membership to this organization. Thanks to everyone for all the help.

Chris - Push the old cutlass out (aft), push the new one on (both with the
cutlass bearing tool I sent you), then put everything back together at the
prop end. - Allan

I intend to get this job done this afternoon, if the stars line up. I
believe that my prop shaft has now been removed from the coupling and the
coupling has been taken apart. Do I need to put these back together before
beginning to pull the cutlass bearing? The prop has been removed, but the
fitting it attaches to on the end of the shaft is still in place, so I need
to pull that too.

Chris - There is no "hitting" with the Association tools. - Allan

mine was :
a) prop off, shaft stays in place
b) knocked it out (with special tool) hitting forward------>>> from aft to
bow direction.
