I had to do that this spring.  Perhaps the easiest task I've had to do.  Got
the replacement from Defender - they had 20+ (!) units on the shelf at the
time.  The basic outline was:

1. Disconnect shore power.
2. Remove the drawers and face frame.
3. Disconnect the tubing on the front of the heater.
4. Disconnect the wiring.
5. Remove 4 screws (2 on each end) holding the heater in-place.  (A little
stretch to reach the 2 screws on the back.)
6. Slide the heater forward and disconnect the 2 hoses on the back of the
heater.
7. Slide the heater out.

..and slide the new one in and reverse the process.  Turned out much easier
than I expected.
