[C320-list] ST 4000 Problems

Jeff has a good suggestion. I had a problem a few years back and opened the
fluxgate compass and the weight inside had fallen off its mounting. Put it
back together and everything was fine after that.

Doesn't the S1 still use the Fluxgate compass in addition to the new course
computer and rudder position sensor?

The way I see it, that's even MORE wires to stuff down the edson tubes. I
almost gave up boating the last time I had to jam more wires through those
tubes. Swore I'd get a new boat before doing that again or (Yikes) Pay
someone to do it. :)

Remove the cover to the fluxgate compass and make sure no bug built a nest
inside.

My best advice: Junk the ST 4000 and get a new S1 (or upgrade). Very
reliable, no problems.
