[C320-list] Humming noise from boom

This is the end of our first season with our 2001, hull 784 with in-mast furling.  We experience this quite often and are also hoping that someone has a solution.

Has anyone experienced a humming noise (like an electric motor running) coming 
from the boom or mast where the main is self-furling?
