[C320-list] cuba libre 3 in Mexico

Linda and I were not all that impressed with the 355, thinking that our next
move, if there is one, which we doubt, would be the 375. The 355 has a lot
of nice features such as a cleaned up main sheet and traveler system and, on
hull #1 anyway, a bow sprit and A-Sym on a roller in front of the genoa
roller - I really liked that. Down below is so-so - fridge is smaller than
the 320, the forward cabin is the owner's and is nice but the aft cabin bunk
is smaller than the 320. The galley is to starboard. When I came down the
companionway ladder backwards (there was only 1 handhold to port), my butt
hit the corner of the galley hard. I let Gerry know that this was a problem
and would stop me from even considering the boat. He recognized the issue,
stating that he had moved the ladder as far port as he could; I thought he
needed to move the galley 2-3 inches forward but he nixed that. And the aft
cockpit seats are unacceptable - you have to see them to appreciate how bad
they are. Again, overall, I like the 375 much more. - Allan

Subject: [C320-list] cuba libre 3 in Mexico

To Allan and Linda, Bruce and Norma, all of our Annapolis friends and our
320 List friends who still remember us:

Orlando and I are back on cuba libre 3 at the Singlar marina in Guaymas,
Mexico. However we are wishing we could be back with you all at the boat
show eating crab cakes this weekend.

Cuba libre 3 splashed back in the water last Saturday here on the Sea of
Cortez and we are slowly getting her shipshape for another Mexico cruising
season. She was on the hard here for two months while we went home and went
crazy giving away all of our furnishings to family, emptying our house and
putting it on the market for sale. Once it sells, cl3 is truly home.

We will continue to update you on our travels. Enjoy the boat show, have a
crabcake for us and tell us what you think of the new Catalina 355.

Keep in touch,
Linda and Orlando Duran
