Thanks Shawn--if it comes to this, I will end up hauling but hopefully the
O-ring in the handle solves the problem....

Yup, I did it this summer (when the water was warmer). I got a new seacock
and Teflon tape ready and had my wife unscrew it off the threads and install
the new one. I swam under the boat and plugged the thru-hull with a rubber
cork ( had to shave it down) and plastic bag. When in placed I knocked on
the hull and in thirty seconds the job was done (she knocked back).

Have everything ready before hand. Even unscrew the existing seacock as
much as you can. Dive the thru-hull and make sure the stopper fits.

Does anyone know if you can disassemble the forespar seacocks in the water?
I was starting to winterize today and noticed that the handle on one of mine
is weeping in the open position where the handle enters the body. I was
planning on wintering in the water this season, but if I have to address
while out of the water then I'll have to haul. Thanks in advance.
