Actually, I think I just slid the copper tube into the plastic tubing with 
no Vs in either one. (That's using my new Outboard Motor Oil Extractor.) I 
think I may have cut a V or a slit in the rubber tubing in previous years 
when I used the Par pump. But I never cut the copper. Ever. Ever.

Don't forget, for those using the copper tube, you need to
cut a V in the end that goes into the tube.
