[C320-list] Broken Stanchion

What about a closed-end box ratchet wrench with a swivel allowing the box end to flex up and down?  (Sears has them, can buy one or a set) Once you get the box over the bolt and onto the nut you should be able to loosen it from below -- to get the new nut on  - either tape or use some putty to hold the nut in the box-end while you (try) to get it started on the new bolt?

The broken stanchion is amidships on the port side. Looking at it from inside, it's just to the right of the navigation station. I removed the wood panel but there is the molded part of the hull behind it. While I can barely reach it with my hand, the reach is at an angle and it doesn't seem possible to be able to get a wrench at it. The bolt runs a good inch below the nut so it doesn't seem that a socket would work.
