[C320-list] Water Pump Leak, Fuel Leak Questions - Seawater Cooling Pump Part Numbers

Milagro #751 has the Euro version Yanmar (3GM30FYEU). I have the correct impeller numbers (both Johnson and Yanmar) as well as the individual part numbers for a rebuild of the pump. FYI - Johnson does not sell a rebuild kit for our pump version F4B-903. The part numbers are below:
1. Impeller = Johnson Number 09810B or Yanmar 128990-42200
2. O-Ring = Included with Johnson Impeller kit above or Yanmar X0506523-01 (The O ring was out of stock but any automotive right size O ring should work)
3. Cam Johnson 01-452888
4. Cam screw Johnson 01-46794-03
5. Shaft Johnson 01-45313
6. Bearing Johnson 01-45207-3 (This is actually a bushing similar to what you have on an automotive water pump. You will need a universal bearing press to change this out.)
7. Yanmar cooling water pipe 128690-49010 (This is the formed hose between pump outlet and the heat exchanger you might as well change it while you are at it)
8. Glycerin, Vaseline or lube to lubricate the inside of the pump until it refills with water. You may want to consider installing an automotive radiator flush and fill kit on the pump inlet hose to help prime the pump at start up.
Items 3 and 4 are optional for a pump rebuild if the originals are at all usable. If you have other problems e-mail Johnson Pump directly they were very responsive and helpful.

11. Replacement F4B-903 Pump Johnson Number 10-24165-2 (it is around $400 USD)
Also I had a similar fuel leak on Milagro and traced the problem to a collapsed fuel hose. Over the years the clamp pressure compressed the hose material so there was no more seal. A replacement needs to be CG hose because it is a fuel line.

I have Hull #722 so our pumps could be the same. I had the same issue last
year. I was told that the only fix was a new pump. My seal broke as a
result of trying to tighten the belts. I had put some pressure with a large
screw driver against the pulley to try and pull the belt tight. In the
process I broke the seal and the pump had to be replaced. It didn't take
much. The entire pump is sold together including impellor. Cost was
somewhere around $200. We have a Yanmar dealer in our marina so I was able
to get the part immediately. Sorry, but I don't know the part number.

Water Pump Leak,
Yesterday I decided to run the engine a bit to charge the batteries. After
running about thirty minutes, I went below to close the thruhull and saw
water coming from under the front engine cover. Source is the cooling water
pump. Hoses are tight. I couldn’t tell exactly where it is coming from,
however. We have had a long spell of cold weather (in/for eastern NC) and I
keep a heater in the cabin that comes on at 38 degrees. We occasionally
loose power and the power company did a 4 hour shutdown last week, so I’m
not sure whether the pump froze. The leak is relatively slow, so I suspect
that shaft seal at front or the gasket at the back of the pump has failed.
It is my understanding that several pumps may have been used on the engines
(3GM30F, Hull 694). How do I determine which pump I have? Have others had
similar failure and what did you do to fix it (new pump, complete rebuild
kit, or just gaskets and impeller)?
Fuel Oil Leak,
At the same time that I was checking the water leak, I noticed that the pan
under the engine had some fuel oil in it. Again, I haven’t been able to
spot the exact source, but it is coming from around the engine fuel filter.
The filter seems intact but the lines above it are wet with fuel. Have
others had a similar problem and where is likely source and what is the
recommended repair?
On both of these, I was limited in the time that I could spend investigating
the problem sources and will go back to boat at first opportunity to try to
zero in a bit better, but I would be interested in your thoughts to aid in
the process.
