[C320-list] ST60 Wind Problems

I just wanted to pass along a tip I received from a local marine 
electronics specialist. I had been having problems with my ST60 Wind 
instrument which would jump to 60mph every 30 seconds or so. I happened 
to talk to a marine electronics guy who was working on the boat next to 
mine. We talked about replacing the unit at the top of the mast. He 
mentioned the fact that several other Catalina boats in the marina have 
been having the same problem. One possible source is a local Navy 
submarine communication system. The other possibility he mentioned was a 
mast that is not grounded.

I assumed that the mast was grounded, at least I had seen a wire going 
from the compression post to a keel bolt. It turned out that that wire's 
connection had corroded. I repaired it and now my ST60 works fine!
