[C320-list] Galley faucet?

Rod,

My mistake--the Moen model that Dick Walker shared is the make/model that I
installed on my 320 and comes supplied on the new boats. It is model #67315.
All you will need is a couple of 3/8"x12" flex hoses (the kind you use to
connect a standard kitchen sink). I would just double check the whale
adaptor on your boat to make sure it is 3/8" that you will need. The only
two things to be aware of:

--The original Grohe fitting is a one piece faucet with the hot and cold
water connectors soldered to the base. Once I loosened the faucet from the
counter, I found that I had to cut those pipes to get the unit out of the
very small hole, which leads me to the second item;
--I had to slightly enlarge the hole in the counter. The corian like
material is very easy to work with and I ended up using a file to enlarge
the hole, but that was only because I didn't have my dremel or a saw with
me.

The job takes maybe 30 minutes and is a very worthwhile upgrade. It is so
much easier to use a single handle faucet to get water temp. the way you
want it etc.

Good luck....

Hi Jon,

I would appreciate any information that you have readily available as it
will save time. I am pretty far behind as I did the whole nine yards to my
bottom this year. Thanks.

Rod

Rod,

I would suggest upgrading to a single handle faucet with a pull out head. I
did this a couple of seasons ago using Dick Walker's suggestion for the
faucet (Delta). It was easy and is a worthwhile upgrade for about $120. The
faucet is available at all the big box stores. Interestingly enough, this is
the exact same faucet they put on my new 355. If you want the model number
etc., I'm sure I still have it. I also have a pretty decent recollection of
the steps I took for this upgrade (which included a phone call to Dick for
some last minute help!)...

Regards,

Jon Vez

All,

Our galley faucet decided it was time to start leaking while at anchor this
weekend. It is a Grohe, Model A112.18.1M. It appears to have ceramic
valves which degraded to a serious leak when I was messing with the valve.
Has any one experienced similar problems with this model? I would be
interested to know what the part number for the valves are or if the entire
unit was replaced. Thanks.
