David, these posts are always interesting and helpful. Thanks. It does
help to know the year and/or hull number of you boat as so many changes have
been made over the years that it's meaningful to know how mine compares to
yours.

Subject: [C320-list] Water under the sink. Mystery solved.

I kept getting water under the sink checked all the usual culprits, Water
Heater, Water heater relief valve, Sink drains, Water Supply piping etc,
Gave up last year.

While cleaning the bilge I pored some fresh water in near the float switch
after it ran I could hear some hissing. As it turned out the bilge pump
hose had chafed as it passed into the compartment below the sink. After the
pump ran the remainder of the water in the hose between the stern and the
sink would slowly drain in under the sink. Because the hole was very small
and it took a long time to collect I never made the connection.

I see the mystery water under the sink thread every now and then and have
always read along hoping to find the answer. If anyone else is having this
problem I hope this helps.
