UK in Annapolis did a 135 genoa for me when I had my C&C. Very happy with
that sail and had no issues with it. Still had great shape even after 10
years.

Don't remember who I dealt with however this was MANY moons ago.

Irv

I just bought a new main from UK Sails in Annapolis I worked with David
Gross. They have done new sails for 4-5 other guys that I know and all are
pretty happy. About 3 years ago I got a Tape Drive jib from them.

The performance difference with new sails is incredible, I point higher,
light wind performance inceased and minor adjustments produce results.

UK makes the sails in Annapolis and there is something to be said for
supporting a local sail maker.

Based on recommendations from David and info I found on our forum and a
discussion I had with Orlando gotat the Annapolis 320 Meeting a few years
back I went with UK.

I got a higher end 7.2 oz Dacron (300F) MT/FT Main, 3 line Dutchmen with
two reef points. Also had some D rings sew on where reefing lines attach.
The 3 line Dutchmen makes a really big difference.

I: 43.67
J: 12.50
P: 38.00
E:13.25

Full Batten Batmain (4) 7.2 oz

If you go with 2 reef points you need to make some changes on how you run
your reef lines. I am working on that now.

I also upgraded to the Tides Mainsail Handling System and replaced the sail
lugs. Boy what a difference this makes when hauling up and dropping the main
almost no effort and you dont mess with broken slugs and that dam little
door on the mast that comes open and lets the slugs out (always at the wrong
times).

Since I went from a 2 to a 3 line Dutchmen, along with the bulk the Tides
system and new sail added I have to replace my sail cover. Always
something.

If you are in the Northern VA / Washington DC area David will be speaking at
the sailing club I belong too on Monday night on choosing and making sails.
You can find meeting details at www.pentagonsailing.org. You or anyone else
on the list would be more than welcome to attend.

I did look at other lofts but have been really happy with UK.

Tony

Starting to think about a new mainsail for our 2001 #851 boat.
Has anyone put together a list of C320 new sails that have been bought.
We are looking for full battens, one reef Point, Cunningham, and Dutchman
What specs on sailcloth for *cruising only* on Upper Chesapeake was
pecified?
Any particular loft had any kind of special good deal?
