[C320-list] Weeping strut

I had the same problem on #711 nine years ago.Instead of fiberglass I used 3m5200 around the strut this way it stays a little bit flexable and will not ever crack again, knot on wood. Ken #711

Thanks for the info. It sounds like your situation was very similar to mine.  I met with the yard folks today and also talked to Catalina tech people. They all thought that since the interior was sound and that the strut was firmly attached with just a tiny bit of deflection when pushed, that grinding a groove in the hull around the strut and then glassing in a filet would be a satisfactory fix. ... essentially the same thing you did. Lets hope it works for us.
