I presume you have an older boat with the plywood/veneer sole. I had an
article in the Mainsheet in 2008 about the project. Here is a quote from an
e-mail thread 3 years ago:

"The Target Coatings finish used on the other (interior) wood is not hard
enough for the floor. I used Waterlox Original Sealer & Finish
www.waterlox.com and have been very happy with it. It gives a gloss finish
that doesn't seem to be slick when wet feet are about. Call them and ask
their opinion of which product to use. You also want to consider The
Ultimate Sole www.ultimatesole.com. They are at the boat shows. I've never
heard anything bad about them."

One reason I chose Waterlox was the claim that it can be recoated with just
a light sanding.

Subject: [C320-list] Floor finish

I had some water damage to a section of the flooring (delaminating). I have
more of the plywood but need advice on the finish to match it as best as
possible. I remember a post a year or two back on the topic.

Does any one know what the finish is and how best to match it?

Will I likely need to refinish the whole floor? And how have others
accomplished this.

Be careful not to leave a line caught under the hatch if your going to be
away for awhile!
