Barb and Bob,
Salt water is not so bad.  From your new location the Keys are close by and if
you go through the cross-Florida canal, the Bahamas are a day's sail away.

Thanks for your advice.  I took a lot of pics on Tuesday and looked at them last

night and decided that I need to take more!!

Re. winterizing, we are trading that in for dealing with salt water.  Of the
two, I think I would rather winterize.

Great advice from others. The things I remember being most helpful when we had
our boat delivered were pictures taken from many angles of mainsheet rigging,
in-mast rigging, traveler etc. Also removing shrouds and stays, coiling them
loosely and labeling them made it much quicker to re-rig.  Same thing for all
running rigging that you remove. You have an advantage because you are familiar
with the boat and its rigging, I wasn't and photos and labels were most
helpful.  Take care of the electronics disconnects inside the mast with taped
baggies or something and make sure no wires get crimped when re-rigging.

I just finished winterizing last week and I envy you-all that don't have to do
that chore.

Goo Luck on your move.

Hi, group,

This sounds very timely with at least two other people moving their boats

recently.  Our boat will be loaded 3 weeks from today to make its way to a

warmer climate.  We are interested in any and all advice about what to do before

the move (mast, boom, etc.) and after the move.  Thanks in advance for all your

help.
