Paul,
I choose not to do that for the following reasons:
1. I like to keep the weight out of the bow.
2. We only have water on long trips like we are on now to Catalina in the bow.
3. The bow tank is higher than the stern tank and folks have had water leak into the boat at the inspection cover.
4. In normal usage using only the stern tank will have more water fresher.
5. If you use water first in the bow tank and then switch to the stern you know you have about 2-3 days of water left.
This trip to Catalina we used about 6-7 gal per day.
We also Cary 20 gal in 4 jugs.
