[C320-list] Battery charger issue?

The YANDINA is a bi directional unit.
I installed one on my last boat and it worked very well.
If you check their website, it has a great FAQ that explains its use.

Cheers

Just to clarify a couple of points. Current flows from charger and
alternator are a function of how/where the cables are attached at the
battery end. Also, a relay/combiner doesn't wait until the battery is full.
Most are voltage sensitive and will close the switch when a charging voltage
(of 13.7 or so,) is detected. Also, not all are bi-directional. The
BlueSea si-ACR is bi-directional, the Blue Sea cl-ACR can be if so wired,
the Yandina is uni-directional.

If you add a battery combiner, once the house battery is full, it will
switch over and charge your starter battery.
When the alternator is running, once the starter battery is full, it will
combine the batteries and charge the house battery.
These can be set and forget. I used a Yandina model on my last boat.

Thanks, Jim.

I have a few good tips and a fresh fuse to take out there. Now, all I need
is time to get out there!

after comissioning. It had (and still has) a Charles charger. Battery 2
would not charge. The problem was that one of the connections in the charger
was hano longer connected. Fix was simply to re attach and screw down. You
can tell if one battery is not being charged by just looking at the battery
"monitor" on the panel and switching between battery one and 2. Hope your
problem is that simple.

have and did the problem just occur when you replaced the batteries a year

How long have you owned the boat? Have you replaced the batteries before.

leave the battery selector switch on 2 while away from the boat for a period
of time (e.g. a week), the battery drains down to nothing. The refrigerator
is warm, etc. When I leave the switch on 1, there are no issues. It seems
that the shore power and battery charger keep battery 1 charged up, but not
2. However, if I run the engine, battery 2 seems to get charged up.
