Speaking of the emergency tiller, I attend an Edson session at Strictly
Sail Chicago and the take-away was not to get in a situation where you were
dependent on the emergency tiller. In order to lessen the chance of needing
the emergency tiller, one should inspect the wheel and cable trace
frequently--more frequently than I've been doing. Edson has a
