  David,
You get a better view of the Lake on nearmap http://www.nearmap.com/ It`s
about 35klm long and varying widths. There is access to the sea but
currently needs dredging. One boat (Cat 320) got dragged through yesterday
We have 11 Catalina 320`s and about 15-20 other Catalinas on the
Lake.(including Simon`s 375)
We both keep our boats at Marmong Marina ( at the north end of the
Lake)along with another 7 Catalina owners, and I live 300 metres away from
the boat. Sometimes a bit too handy.
Wangi Point splits the Lake in two, though easily navigable but there is
usually masses of fishermen at the point for some reason.

Now to find out where Mukilteo is. Aha!! ! Now I know. North of Seattle.
It looks like plenty of protected water for sailing with easy access to the
North Pacific if so inclined, but I`m tipping a bit chilly at this time of
the year.

We have other Aboriginal names such as Wagga Wagga, Woy Woy and Gin Gin to
name a few for your amusement.

As an American, I just have to ask... What the heck is a Wangi Wangi?
Anything to do with that Viagra commercial of the guy fixing his sailboat...

I just had to look it up with Google Maps. Beautiful area, especially in
the summertime.

I was in Christchurch New Zealand last February helping out after the M6.3
earthquake (I'm a Structural Engineer and a FEMA US&R member). Beautiful
part of the world. I want to spend more time there, only under better
circumstances...

Wangi Wangi, I love the name!

Dave
