[C320-list] Wheel Brake

I religiously release my wheel brake, thru the wheel type, before leaving the dock.  Wheel brake was on before leaving the dock and I released it. When I got to my destination this weekend the wheel brake did not work and still does not work after return.  From good brake to bad brake.  No in between. Any suggestions without having to remove the Richie compass and replace parts?
