I removed the seat after the first attempt to drive the boat.  There is not
enough room for the seat and my legs.  If I want to sit, I use one of the
aft lockers.  It's a better view from there.

If you really must have a seat in the center, I have seen a picture of a
pedistal seat that looked like a good idea to try.  Needs to be removable
so you can get out to the stern ladder.
