Mike, I replaced my ST4000 wheel pilot with an X5 wheel pilot and plugged it right in to the existing 4000 control head connector. I had to reposition the engine instrument pod 3" lower on the binnacle due to the larger circumference of the X5 but was easily done. Works great.
