[C320-list] Mailing List or Forum

Hi,
Pat is right, while the number of emails is low, the email system is great.
As the flow grows, the email system becomes more cumbersome and the forum
system offers advantages.

The reason I asked the question? The number of emails felt like it was
increasing and thought it maybe time to look at changing. I thought it would
be better to change early, then wait until it was frantic (like reefing, if
you think you should, then its probably past the time to do it).

I am not sure how much work it takes to manage a forum over an email list.
Once setup (about an hour), I used to spend about 15 minutes a week (even
less when the other moderators did their job).

But of course, the association executive will do what is best (not always
what the members think they want).

Cheers

Simon

Forums are OK. Yes, I have actually used a properly setup forum. The value
of the 320 communication with E-mail is that the traffic is limited.
Therefore it blends well with my existing traffic. Consequently, I see
communication quickly without having to open a forum site. If the volume was
10x, I might have another opinion. Pat 801
