Warren,
I believe you have that backwards.  #30 weight oil for the chain and Teflon 
grease for the chain.

Brad, the Edson Steering Inspection Checklist recommends #30 oil for the
chain and sprocket in the pedestal, and Teflon grease for the cable. Here is

Hey everyone,

Putting Independence back together for the season and have two items.

Steering cable lubrication - Past posts said "30W oil on the wire rope",
please confirm.....

Water system 

For some reason this year I can't get the water pump to pull water from
either tank.  It will start up, I get initial pressure and then it drops to
a trickle.

I did clean out the mesh, and there was some debris. But still having the
issue.  When it runs it sounds like its going to "catch" but never
does.....  I am also only pulling from one tank at a time.

Any ideas?  Do I need to prime and what would be the process for such an
action.  :)
