And be prepared to deal with an air lock in the hoses from the engine after
the install. I found the best way is to remove both hoses from the engine
and hold them together so the open ends are at the same level and above the
water heater. Using a funnel, pour antifreeze (50/50) into one until it
emerges from the other. Hold a thumb over one while reinstalling the other,
then the remaining one. Yes, you will spill some so use rages to catch the
overflow.
Ok, list, if there is an easier way, let's hear it.

Hi Sam,

Not hard. If you are handy at all you can handle it.
You need to decide if you want to change out the hoses that go to the motor.
Mine looked to be in good shape and thought it would be a waste of money to
replace them now.

Disconnect your hot and cold water, disconnect the electrical, take out your
sink drain, take out a view wire holders with screws, take out two screws
that hold the heater in place, pull the heater out and then disconnect the
hoses that go to the motor. Then put it all back. I also put new hose clamps
on everything.

So basically, it's just disconnect and reconnect.

I have a small leak under the water heater. How easy is it to replace?
Thanks,  Mariah #585. Sam
