[C320-list] Ignition Key Problem

A three stage switch is what most cars have. The positions are:

Off
Ignition on
Starter motor on

My boat has a big battery switch to provide power to the motor. The motor
will not start when this is off. 
We turn this switch off whenever we are leaving the boat.

Yes Simon,
 what IS a 3 stage switch and we don`t have a separate circuit breaker
switch for the engine.  But otherwise a good idea. Maybe they are on the
newer boats
