[C320-list] Ignition Key Problem

Why not a 2 stage switch instead of a 3 stage?  On my boat there is a starter button on the pod that you push to start after turning on the key two positions. The third position is a spring action starter switch , not needed.  This third position is like that on a car which you need to start the engine.
