Alan,
Pull the red knob out and the light will extinguish. I overhauled my windlass this winter per the main sheet article and went very smoothly. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.

The 80 amp windlass breaker does not seem to have an off/on feature and even turning the battery selector to OFF does not extinguish the red windlass indicator lamp located next to the breaker. The breaker appears to be spring loaded in that I can push it in and it returns 'proud', but this does not affect the power indicator light which remains on. Does the windlass always stay energized like the bilge pump even when the battery selector is 'OFF'? I have a 1994 hull 67 if anyone is can let me know how their set up works would be most appreciated ... hate to electrocute myself and ruin my day, lol. Alan
