I meant port side, I'll look real close and see if it should be on the port side.

That might be it, the spinnaker halyard was secured to the starbhard side so there might e a tangle up there.

Could the spinnaker halyard have wrapped around the jib halyard where it meets the roller at the head of the sail? I have done that when I've attached the spinnaker halyard  on the bow pulpit and then furled. I now keep the spinnaker halyard attached to the starboard life line so that the halyard is close to the spreaders. No problems since. Just a thought.

Sorry that was "Re-rolled the jib and counter wrapped it with the spinnaker halyard..."

We hid our boat up in Baltimore for the storm, we chose the Anchorage Marina, a great marina with protected floating docks. We stripped dodger, bimini and mainsail. When I loosened the jib halyard and tried to pull the jib down it wouldn't budge. I counter re-rolled the sail tightly and counter wrapped it with the spinnaker halyard, luckily she suffered no harm. What could possibly be holding the sail up? Anyone experience this?

Thanks,
Bruce.
