[C320-list] Hoses going through the wall

Ah, Jeff, with hull #78 you probably have a Perkins engine with the Jabsco
raw water pump. Mine had a slight leak for maybe several years. There is a
weep hole in the bottom of the casting behind the pump. Wrap the back of
the pump with a rag or paper towel. If that is the source of your water the
seals are bad, and you need to rebuilt the pump. I sent mine to Depco Pump
in FL, to have it rebuilt for about $60 plus parts. Try pricing a new pump.
Wow! Depco was very responsive.

I've isolated it to the the raw water cooling system. All valves closed, i
can get the boat bone dry. When I open only the raw water valve, run the
engine, we get the water. It appears the water comes in slowly, over a few
days, like the leak slowly leaks out of the system as it drains, and I think
it's low in the system do to the amount of water. It will only leak after
the engine is run, but not before.

hose leak ? Does the leak occur only when the engine is running?
