[C320-list] Set Screws for Cutlass Bearing

I'm surprised Catalina Direct doesn't have all this information.

They are SS--I believe 1/4-20 thread and either 1/4" or 3/8" in length when accounting for the dimple in the CB. The blue threadlocker that you should use will create a barrier between the dissimilar metals.

I thought the struts are bronze so I would have thought the set screws would be bronze as well.  Below the water line it is usually manganese bronze as opposed to silicon bronze.  

It should be pretty hard to strip the threads of a stainless steel set screw in manganese bronze because the stainless is so much harder.  When replacing the set screw I would recommend that you do not go with dissimilar metals if you can avoid it.

If you stripped out the set screw thats no problem but if you stripped out the strut you might have to drill and tap it out to the next size up. I'm not sure what material the set screw is but I would bet that it is stainless steel and thats what I would replace it with.
