That would make sense. Even Ullman could be doing that on my job and expressing it over in time for my in hands of Thursday . In the inflatables industry we do the same for custom giant shapes but for the hot airs and gorillas we find we can make them here for same price. I hope my new Endurance sails are being made here though . I manufacture in the USA. It can be done competitively . In fact I buy some of my raw goods from Bainbridge and Chalenge, but only rope and certain vinyl . My fabrics are made in china to my specs and is also good qual, but we print and sew here in CA

Thank you and please excuse any grammatical and/or typographical as sent from iPhone.

My next door neighbor is a sales rep for "China Sails" and tells me that all of the major labels outsource their cruising sails to them, as do most of the OEM boat manufacturers. He claims the quality is quite high. Each loft sends CAD files with their own designs. The panels are cut by computer, and the finishing is done by hand. The latter is the expensive part, which is why almost no sails are still made in the U.S. There are exceptions, however, including Mack in Florida, and UK in Annapolis.

I know Catalina is in woodland hills (80 miles from me), I wonder if they have them or do they manufacture out if Florida now? Also, Ulman sails is in San Diego (also close ) and I think they manufacture for Catalina.
