I've had some dealings with Sail Care and found them easy to work with. I
haven't seen it mentioned; but, theirs is not a typical rag wash like most
sail cleaning seems to be. I've not done the Sail Care process; but, have
had them "washed" a few times elsewhere and can't say I noticed much
improvement. Sail Care has a very particular process that leaves the sail
"starched" like new. No, it's not starch, but it's not a wash and dry
process either. Go to their web site to learn about it.

I had my sails cleaned last spring. Very happy with the service and results.
On the down side the sail numbers and 320 logo were lost in the process.

Hi Bob,
I had SailCare clean and repair my mainsail two years ago and my genoa
last year. I had a great experience with them both times.
I can't really comment about PVC, but I would encourage you to call
SailCare and ask about it. If I recall, the guy I worked with is named
Jerry.

Anyone have experience with the "Sail Care" company? I shipped them my
genoa for cleaning and they are recommending replacement of the UV
cover
stating that it is PVC and won't come clean in their process. The fact
of the
matter, though, is that two years ago I had the UV cover replaced by a
local sail loft and the invoice from that job states that the new UV
cover was
dacron. Is dacron PVC? Am I getting yanked around? Thanks.
