Jim,
I have been working with Florida Rigging and Hydraulics which is also a
authorized repair center for Lewmar hatches. Several of my friends have had
the plastic replaced by them and they were happy with the results and it was
less expensive than Select Plastics. One of the things that was pointed out
by them was that the part number of the hatch on my boat was an older and a
better design then was standard the year that the boat was purchased. He
surmised that Catalina would have had to purchase a large quantity of them
to get them fabricated. I will check with Select Plastics on the thickness.

I don't know the thickness but you might check with Select Plastics which I
hear is the place to go for hatch repair (all brands). They should know the
specs. Google Select Plastics and go to marine division.

All,
Is there anyone that knows the lens thickness on the Lewmar
Main Hatch used
on the C320? The year and S/N on Odyssey is 2000,
#688, and the Lewmar
hatch number is SZ44 12D9. Lewmar does not support any
of the parts but a
new lens can be cut and installed. I have an
opportunity to purchase a new
hatch but I want to make sure that the thickness of the lens
is equivalent.
I am located 120 miles from my boat and don't plan to visit
it for awhile.
Thanks.
