chain size, 1/4 OR 5/8 NOT SURE
type, and STD NOTHING SPECIAL
length and 12'
anchor type DANFORTH
size 27 OR 28LBS

I find that here on the Chesapeake Bay anchoring depths are rarely more than
15' so a lot of chain isn't necessary.

I also use a kellet of about 15 lbs. While some kettets are 30 lbs or more,
I'm not so concerned with increasing the catenary as I am keeping the rode
below the keel, so in deploying the kellet I make sure that when the rode is
slack the kellet will be below the keel. This helps to prevent fouling when
the wind and tide are in opposition or when rafted and the raft rotates.

Subject: [C320-list] what size/type chain & anchor

Quick survey if you're willing: What is your ground tackle (chain size,
type, and length and anchor type and size)? Are you happy with it?

thanks,
