Rod,
I have not responded to this because I don't get around too well right now, knee replacement surgery. I will shoot the details to you as soon as I can get down the steps. My Allstate policy renewed in December was under $300 for insurance to sail in the Chesapeake, hull 606. I don't recall all the details but seem similar to what I have seen in this discussion. I know it includes $500,000 liability because my marina requires it.

David,

I didn't negotiate, but I am pretty sure that sailing in the Atlantic
Coastal Waters is more expensive since I have to pay for a rider when I sail
there. Addition evidence is given in a more recent email from Art, hull
680, who sails the Atlantic coast and pays $837 for his Boat/US policy. His
hull number and value is close to mine. The only difference is the
Chesapeake versus Atlantic coast sailing.

Rod,
Do you think being on inland waters (Chesapeake Bay) is a lot cheaper than
the more open waters off of the New England coast or did you negotiate a
cheaper rate?

Another question for the group-I purchased my boat last year for a good
price, so I insured her for near the purchase price. What are owners of
2000/2001 320's insuring for?

Thanks,
