[C320-list] Schaefer roller furling

Jack,

     I have a 2004 (#988) and it did not have the holes, which are located in the sides where the line coils around the drum, and I had to do the replacement a couple of years ago. 
     I did find out that they started producing tht units with holes about six months after my boat was built.

Thanks, Dave. The answer is -- I don't know. Next time I'm aboard I'll check 
to see if I can locate what appear to be washout holes. I'm guessing they 
would be at the bottom of the drum. If there are, I assume that one "washes 
out" the drum with a hose, although I can't imagine what would be in there 
to need flushing.  The boat is a 2003 model if that helps determine the 
existence of washout holes.
