Please follow this link to a detailed description of this project with many pictures. My guess is the job will take about 2 hrs if you read all the information this article and your boat is in a good place to do the job. I did this single handed but I would use a forestay leash to help with managing the forestay once the forestay is unfastened.

I changed mine this spring before the boat was launched......less chance of losing anything overboard and nothing to support when on the hard.
