I fitted a Shure Accumulator to Tegwen.  Certainly cut down the pump running
times (I have a very slight leak somewhere that I have never been able to
find - had pump replaced under warranty and have tried a check valve as
well). 

The other big benefit is that I can now partially turn on a tap, even at a
trickle, and get a smooth flow.  Before a partial tap opening caused the
sort of pulsing you have been talking about.

I am sure there would be something equivalent at half the price in the
plumbing department of a hardware store as opposed to a "marine" store.
